Brief: Design the cover and interior spreads for a middle grade novel centered on a 12-year-old musical prodigy and charlatan, lying her way through a reality TV competition. The goal was to capture the energy of new-found stardom while grounding the design in the story’s themes of honesty and foster-care relationships.

The client requested that the logo feature a star to represent the glamorous reality TV show. I suggested adding a street art effect as a reference to Liv’s rags-to-riches character arc.
